What Is 2Captcha.com?
2Captcha.com’s website was registered in 2014, so it’s been around for several years now. When you visit their website, you’ll see that they’re a program that pays you for solving/answering captchas.
You’re probably already familiar with captchas. It’s those blurry texts or image puzzles that you need to solve before being granted access to something (like a website’s content).
The work at 2Captcha will require you to solve/answer captchas. You will then be paid for your work.
Note that pay payments are made in cash and the minimum withdrawal amount is only 50 cents to 1 dollar. Also, there are no payment fees for cashing out.
Interested yet? Well, it’s free to join, so that makes it more exciting.
But first, let’s find out if it’s legit or a scam.
Is 2Captcha a Scam or Legit?
My definition of a scam is when someone is not telling the truth about their program. Making false promises and deliberately trying to deceive you.
I would also say specifically that those false promises are to create high expectations (which ultimately lead to failures).
The good news is that 2Captcha is very transparent with how their company works.
And like other money-making sites like 20 Cogs… they're upfront about how much you can earn and they don't make excessive claims or try to sell you some unattainable “lifestyle”.
You can can be confident they are not a scam.
In fact, they are upfront with how much you can earn, and even though it's not a lot, their honesty is a breath of fresh air in the make money online industry…
So, is 2Captcha legit?
Absolutely.
Similar to legit online survey sitessuch as surveyjunkie.com and inboxdollars.com for example, 2Captcha will pay you for doing tasks online. They won't make you rich of course, but they're a simple way to get started online, which is often the toughest part for most people. Getting started.
Sites like 2Captcha make it easy for you to take the first step, which is a easier than jumping straight into something like an online business.
Having said that, if you're at home because of difficulties with your health for example, children to look after, or if you're just tired of your job… finding a way to make a real income online may be what you want.
With all the scams, schemes and false promises out there though, knowing how and where to get started properly is what youneedin order to get what youwant.

How Does 2Captcha Work?
To better understand how 2Captcha works, we will look at their program from two points of view – 2Captcha's customers/clients' point of view and yours (the worker).
The Customers
For 2Captcha's customers, they need quick and simple captchas for users of their website to answer. This is important because time and/or errors while solving these puzzles cause delays in their business.
Time is money, so aside from annoying for people and stopping them in their tracks… captchas can lead to company losses.
When customers register to 2Captcha’s services, they’ll be charged certain fees. They can then upload the captchas they encounter into the system and the company will provide them with quick answers/solutions.
The Workers
Now, for you (if you decide to become a 2Captcha worker), your job is to answer/solve captchas as they come into the system. You’ll be paid a small amount of money for each task, and you can work whenever you want and wherever you can (using your computer or smartphone).
Just hit the Start button when you want to start working and the Stop button when you want to stop.
Your account will also go into sleep mode when the system senses inactivity from your end. Don’t worry, you can easily get back to working from sleep mode by clicking the Start button again.
The Company’s Part
2Captcha makes money by acting as the middleman and program creator. They’ll pocket the difference from the amount paid by the companies and their payouts to their workers.
Remember, this is a business, and they make money from their program that helps people (their customers) simplify their tasks of dealing with captchas. In the same way, the company also provides work to people who are willing to do the task for a small fee.
Having a 24/7 platform is also beneficial to everyone. People can use their service at any time and workers can work at any time of the day as well.
How Much Money Can You Make with 2Captcha?
Customers will pay around $.50 to $3 per 1,000 captchas. Note that normal (regular) captchas cost less than ReCaptchas (those that involve images and puzzles with conditions).
The average solving speed for captchas (from the customers’ end) can be anywhere from 12 to 30 seconds. Remember, every second counts from a business’ point of view.
These are the rates customers pay (not the rates 2Captcha pays you).
For workers (you), it's free to join 2Captcha.com.
You’ll be paid around $.20 to $1 per 1,000 captchas. Again, more difficult captchas (ReCaptchas) get higher pay than normal (regular) captchas. Note that rates are shown on the screen for available captchas, so you’ll know how much you’ll be paid for the tasks.
As for the solving time/speed, this will depend on you. If you’re fast (really fast), you’ll be able to handle 1,000 captchas in less than 3 hours.
However, the loading time per captcha is not guaranteed. So, if there are no available captchas (or a lot of workers at a given time), you can experience some idle time while performing captcha tasks.
Here are the rates for workers…
Aside from earning money through solving captchas, you can also earn from 2Captcha through their referral program. They will provide you with a referral code and you can promote their company, earning 10% from each worker’s earnings and each customer’s payment (your referrals).
2Captcha Payouts
You can create a payout request once you reach the minimum threshold for withdrawing funds which depends on the payment system you’re using. You can use the list below as your guide:
- WebMoney – $.50
- AdvCash – $.50
- PerfectMoney – $.50
- Uphold – $.50
- Payeer – $.50
- Airtm – $1
- Bitcoin – $1
Note that the above payment systems are the only ones currently recognized by 2Captcha and of course they are subject to change.
At this time there are no options to use Bank Transfers, PayPal, or Western Union.
How to Join 2Captcha
If you’d like to join 2Captcha, here are the steps…
- Register on their website to create your account. You’ll be asked for your email and password (you should always use a unique password that you've never used for any other login).
- Once registered, you’ll be taken to their training page where you’ll be taught how to solve/answer captchas. This is just a simple training module and will take you about 10 minutes to complete it.
- After the training, you’ll be required to take a test. The exam will involve answering/solving captchas. And again, this will just take you around 10 minutes to finish (it’s just a short test).
- You can immediately start working after you pass their test.
Joining 2Captcha is simple and easy, but remember the following points:
- You can use a computer or smartphone for answering/solving captchas.
- Only Windows and Android OS are recognized by their system.
- Making too many mistakes can get your account suspended (either temporarily or permanently).
- Permanently banned accounts are no longer eligible for payouts.
- Illegal activities (such as using third party software to solve/answer captchas) can lead to suspension and getting banned.
If for any reason, 2Captcha doesn't appeal to you, another way you can make a few extra bucks is with online surveys.
Companies likeSurvey Junkie are a simple way to get paid for your opinion.Inbox Dollars is another site that pays you for doing things online, like playing simple games, watching videos and visiting websites.
They don't pay a full-time income of course, but if you've never made money online before, they can be a good place to start.
For something more significant,an online business may be what you want.
Making money from home might be something you need because of medical issues, children to look after, or maybe you've had enough of working in a dead end job.

2Captcha Reviews and Complaints
Just as I expected, I found both positive and negative reviews about 2Captcha.
The good reviews on the company/system include being able to earn and withdraw money from them which may sound minor, but when it comes to methods of making money online, this is an important detail.
There are “get-paid-to” scams out there like RainMoney and Kashtree pretending to be like 2Captcha (paying you to do small tasks), but when payday comes they ignore you, disappear or ban your account.
2Captcha does not do that.
The bad reviews on the other hand, mainly focused on the low pay and the amount of time it takes to make money with the system… but 2Captcha is up front about this.
Like I said, it can take you more or less 3 hours to accomplish 1,000 captchas. Therefore, earnings can be less than $1 per hour. According to 2Captcha, 20 to 80 cents per hour is an average rate.
Below, I took screenshots of some of the reviews I found on TrustPilot. Notice how one person made $2 to $5 in a month (I’m sure he/she didn’t spend a lot of time with the task though).
Also, notice how 2Captcha itself said that $1 can usually be made in a few hours of work.
Again, 2Captcha is completely transparent that this is not a get-rich-quick scheme.
What I Like About 2Captcha
- 2Captcha is legit and they’re very transparent with everything.
- Their website (rules, regulations, etc.) are easy to understand.
- The work required on 2Captcha is also easy – no special skills required.
- It’s free to join (for workers).
- You have opportunities to earn through referrals.
What I Don't Like
- Pay is low.
- Their payment options don’t include PayPal and bank transfers.
- Low tolerance for mistakes – too many (though they’re not saying just how many is too many) can lead to your account getting suspended.
- Time consuming – It can take more time when you’re being very careful not to commit mistakes.
- Only Windows and Android OS are allowed.
- There’s a risk that Google will ban/suspend your IP for solving captchas for other people.
Where Do You Go From Here?
Like I said, 2Captcha.com is legit, so yes, you can make money from using their program – but it definitely won't replace full-time employment.
If you’re going to earn money with 2Captcha in your spare time instead of just browsing through social media (which we all do), you will earn a few extra dollars from it.
Or maybe you just enjoy answering/solving captchas – in that case, the whole thing will just seem like a fun game (and you’ll be making money).
Now, I am concerned about Google, other search engines, and big websites you may visit often.
Sites like these use captcha to make sure that humans (and not robots) are accessing certain content, and they don't necessarily approve of someone else solving/answering captchas for other people.
Although it's legit, it's a task that can be used for not so legit purposes.
2Captcha talked about the Google issue on their website (again, being fully transparent) and only offers remedies (e.g. configuring the software) to somehow prevent the problem of having your IP banned from happening (being caught and penalized by Google).
They also said they can’t do anything about it if it happens, so it’s a cause for concern and you may want to weigh the risks versus rewards.
I am not saying you should or shouldn't join 2Captcha. What you can do though, is make some extra money online with survey sites which don't carry the same risk.

Like 2Captcha, they don't pay a lot of money but they are a good way to get started online.
