To get the most out of Google Home, choose your Help Center: U.S. Help Center, U.K Help Center, Canada Help Center, Australia Help Center.

Firmware is the software installed on Google Nest or Home speaker or display.When afirmware update is available, your device will automatically download the update via an Over-the-Air (OTA) update.

Your speaker or display must be set up and connected to the internet to receive the firmware update.

Find the current firmware version

To check which firmware version you're on, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app Find your device's firmware version - Android (1).
  3. Tap and hold your device's tile.
  4. At the top right, tap SettingsFind your device's firmware version - Android (2)Find your device's firmware version - Android (3)Device information.
  5. Under "Technical information," findCast firmware: X.XXX.XXXXX.
