TheawardannouncedbyGlobalFinance,recognizesglobal,regionalandlocalleadershipinSustainableFinance–fundingforinitiativesdesignedtomitigatethenegativeimpactsofclimatechange,buildingresilienceandhelpbuildamoresustainablefutureforhumanity.
TheawardcomesatatimewhentherearecallsforinstitutionstoembracesustainablepracticesthroughadoptingtheUNSustainableDevelopmentGoalsasaguidetoassistintheattainmentofreducedglobalnethuman-causedemissionsofcarbondioxidebyabout45percentfrom2010levelsby2030,reachingnetzeroaround2050
