HighScope Preschool Curriculum
The BTC has the High Scope Preschool Curriculum. The HighScope Educational Approach for preschool is a comprehensive system of teaching practices and educational structures designed to enhance the learning environment and to support developmentally appropriate instruction in prekindergarten. The curriculum fully integrates academic, social, and emotional learning as part of the five dimensions of school readiness identified by the National Education Goals Panel: approaches to learning; language, literacy, and communication; social and emotional development; physical development, health, and well-being; and arts and sciences.

The 4Rs curriculum (Reading, Writing, Respect & Resolution) engages the imagination and creativity of children in grades PreK-5 to help develop critical skills including empathy, community building, and conflict resolution.
Kindness in the Classroom is a skills promotion program for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. The elementary school edition uses free-standing lessons to promote social and emotional learning. Each grade level includes sixteen lessons designed to be delivered in the classroom for 30-45 minutes once a week.

Second Step: Skills for Social and Academic Success
The Ballenger Teachers Center has the complete Second Step program for grades K-5. The Second Step program for Kindergarten through Grade 5 is a universal, classroom-based program designed to increase students' school success and decrease problem behaviors by promoting social-emotional competence and self-regulation.

Sanford Harmony is a no-cost social emotional learning program for Pre-K-6 grade students designed to foster communication, connection, and community both in and outside the classroom, and develop boys and girls into compassionate and caring adults.
