Qantas is taking Sydney-Sapporo flights to new heights! The airline's latest schedule update reveals a significant boost in frequency for the upcoming Northern Winter 2026/27 season.
But first, let's set the scene: Qantas, a proud member of the oneWorld alliance, initially filed for an increase from three to four weekly flights when resuming its seasonal service between Sydney and Sapporo's New Chitose Airport on December 12, 2026. A promising start, but the story doesn't end there.
Here's where it gets exciting: Qantas has now upped the ante, scheduling five weekly flights for a limited time! From December 20, 2026, to January 31, 2027, travelers can enjoy more options to explore the winter wonderland of Sapporo or the vibrant city of Sydney.
The route will be operated by the mighty Airbus A330-200, ensuring a comfortable journey. The flight details are as follows: QF107 departs Sydney at 09:05, arriving in Sapporo at 18:00, while QF108 departs Sapporo at 19:40, landing back in Sydney at 08:35 the next day. And this is the part most people miss - the time difference between the two cities is a fascinating 2 hours and 35 minutes!
After this winter surge, the service will settle into a 3-weekly schedule from March 1 to March 31, 2027.
